2023 Results

A Race Across America produced event!

Founded by John Marino in 1983 and recognized as "The Toughest 48 hours in Sport," Silver State 508 is the world's premier weekend ultra cycling race. This 508-mile bicycle race is revered the world over for its epic mountain climbs, stark desert scenery, desolate roads, and its reputation as one of the toughest but most gratifying endurance challenges available, bar none.

Solo, two-person relay, and four-person relay divisions are offered, with sub-categories for standard bikes, tandems, recumbents, fixed gear, and single-speed bikes.

Silver State 508 is a Race Across AMerica (RAAM) Qualifier.

Silver State 508 starts and finishes in Reno, NV and crosses northern Nevada on Hwy 50, also known as "the loneliest highway in America."

The Mother Lode 200

The Mother Lode 200 is a challenging “double century” - 200 miles with 10,000 feet of elevation gain - which features the best of the spectacular basin and range country of Nevada.

Riders start and finish at the Hilton Garden Inn located in South Reno. The route climbs 2,000-foot Geiger Grade to the historic mining town of Virginia City, descends into the Eagle Valley past Carson City, across Jacks Valley, south through Carson Valley hard against the eastern flank of the Sierra in the shadow of Duane Bliss, Genoa, East and Monument Peaks to Topaz Lake.  Riders then head E through Wilson Canyon to Yerrington and on to Silver Springs.

Here the riders follow The 508 route W through Stagecoach, up 6-mile Canyon to Virginia City, where they are treated to a 2,000-foot descent back to the finish. The Mother Lode 200 is the perfect complement to the world famous Silver State 508.  Two great races – 200 and 500-miles – set in the spectacular Basin and Range Country of Nevada.
